In WordPress, By default uncategorized category is created and when we do not create OR select any category then it select automatically uncategorized in to the post.
So lets start how to remove it
First login into your WordPress site and go to Settings and change Default Post Category to any one and click on Save Changes as show in given images-
and again go to the Post->Category and select the uncategorized category and delete it as show below-
